Room at the Balsam Mountain Inn and Restaurant

There are four different types of rooms. Some with only showers others with the actual old fashion claw footed tub. Each of the 50 rooms, mini-suites and suites at the Balsam Mountain Inn offer a slightly different experience. From vintage furnishings and art work to lay-out and amenities to the color of paint on the Inn's signature bead-board walls, every room is unique.

Most people find this exciting and a relief from a world where most of the hotel and motel rooms are identical except for their keys.

Prior to its 1991 restoration, the Balsam Mountain Inn was exclusively a "summer place" with shared baths, no heat and plenty of squeaky double beds. Through the addition of private baths and the combination of smaller rooms into larger suites, the total number has changed from 107 to 50.

The rooms at the Balsam Mountain Inn provide little distractions; there are no tv's, radios, telephones, or alarm clocks !!!

Regular Rooms: $145 breakfast included and the 5 day special at $495. These are what you might expect to see in a regular Inn room only each is unique in color and furniture. (5 day specials are not available in July or Oct.).

Mini Suites: $165 breakfast included and the 5 day special at $575. These rooms are larger with a sitting area in the room providing alternatives. (5 day specials are not available in July or Oct.).

Suites: $195 breakfast included. These rooms, each again uniquely different, consist of living areas in TWO separate rooms. (5 day specials are not available for these rooms).

Tower Suites: $229 breakfast included. These rooms are among the inn's most spacious, spectacular and diverse living areas. (5 day specials are not available for these rooms).

Please note for our 5 day specials you arrive Sunday afternoon and depart Friday morning.
