105 year old authentic wooden Inn (Restored NOT
renovated, rustic, not primative !). It is one of
the South's few remaining grand old inns. The inn ,
nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just off the Blue
Ridge Parkway, provides 50 comfortable, spacious guestrooms
and suites with private baths, each with its own unique
decor and vintage furniture just the way it was at the
turn of the century and still phone and TV free.
Balsam Mountain Inn & Restaurant is centrally located between Waynesville and Sylva, in the heart of the North Carolina mountains. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, The Biltmore House, Great Smoky Mountain Rail Road, The Wheels Thru Time Museum, and Ghost Town are all a short ride away.
It's just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and near the Mountains to the Sea Trail. Popular mountain towns of Dillsboro, Waynesville, Maggie Valley and Cherokee are a short drive.
