Prior to its 1991 restoration, the Balsam Mountain Inn was exclusively a "summer place," with shared baths, no heat and plenty of squeaky double beds. Through the addition of private baths and the combination of smaller rooms into larger suites, the total number of rooms fell from 100 to 50.
There are four different types of rooms. Each of the 50 rooms and suites is delightfully different, which comes as a relief in a world where most of the hotel and motel rooms are identical except for their keys.
The rooms at the Balsam Mountain Inn provide little distractions, there are no tv's radios, telephones, or alarm clocks !!! The inn provides a relaxing peaceful environment
(alarms are available at the front desk).

Regular Rooms:
$145 breakfast included and the 5 day special at $495. These are what you might expect to see in regular Inn room only each is unique in color and furniture. (5 day specials are not available in July or Oct.).
Mini Suites:
$165 breakfast included and the 5 day special at $575. These rooms are larger with a sitting area in the room providing alternatives. (5 day specials are not available in July or Oct.).
Suites:
$195 breakfast included. These rooms each again uniquely different consist of living areas in TWO separate rooms. (5 day specials are not available for these rooms).
Tower Suites:
$229 breakfast included. These rooms among the inn's most spacious, spectacular and diverse living areas. (5 day specials are not available for these rooms).
Please note for our 5 day specials you arrive Sunday afternoon and depart Friday morning.
