* Travel I-75 or I-85 north to I-985 at Gainesville – Stay on I-985 to Hwy 23 / 44l
* Stay on 23 to Dillsboro where you get on Hwy 23/74 toward Waynesville/Sylva
* Hwy 23/74 bypasses Sylva. After about 8 miles you will be going up Balsam Gap passing mile marker 93 .
*- Look for signs
green"Balsam Next Right" and " Balsam -->" and a blue "Balsam Mountain Inn -->" near the top of the mountain.
* Turn right to Balsam onto Candlestick Lane.
* Turn right again almost immediately onto Cabin Flats Road. Stay on that road crossing the RR tracks twice in about a l/4 mile.
* The Inn ( Seven Springs Drive) is Straight ahead after crossing the RR tracks a second time.

Traveling from Asheville area (Approx 35 minutes)
* I-40 to exit 27, that road becomes 23/74 – travel approximately l3 miles and just after you cross under the Blue Ridge Parkway and pass mile marker 94
*- Look for signs
green"Balsam Next Left " and " <--Balsam " and a blue "<--Balsam Mountain Inn" just after the top of the mountain.
* Turn LEFT to Balsam onto Candlestick Lane.
* Turn right again almost immediately onto Cabin Flats Road. Stay on that road crossing the RR tracks twice in about a l/4 mile.
* The Inn ( Seven Springs Drive) is Straight ahead after crossing the RR tracks a second time.
Traveling from Knoxville
(Approx. 11/2 Hours)
Same directions as from Asheville just coming from Knoxville on RT 40 instead of Asheville
Follow the parkway to mile marker 443 and get off the Sylva/Waynesville exit. From the exit take a right on to highway 23/74, towards Sylva. Get into the left lane and take your next left, Candlestick Lane. Turn right again almost immediately on to Cabin Flats Road. Stay on that road crossing the RR tracks twice in about a l/4 mile.
* The Inn ( Seven Springs Drive) is Straight ahead after crossing the RR tracks a second time.
